The Second American Girl

And this one's um about an American, I
I really ought to do the accents in it
It has some direct quotes but I'm not sure I'll be able to because I'm not you know
I'm not an impressionist or anything
Er but it's called The Second American Girl.

The second American girl I ever spoke to said
Gee, I like your vest
I said
It's a waistcoat
She said
I don't know that word
I forget exactly what I replied
If I replied
And she repeated
It's a really nice vest
And then she changed out of her trainers
Into tall black leather boots
I didn't comment but noticed that she was taller and her legs were very long
And slim
And I thought to myself
How nice my vest was
